Cole Smithey is a Manhattan-based independent film critic. Since entering the national Alternative Weekly print market in 1997, Cole Smithey has been dedicated to providing readers with insightful, informative, and entertaining reviews of films from all genres and periods of international cinema.

From producing film-review video series for AOL and Forbes to covering numerous Cannes Film Festivals, Cole Smithey has written for dozens of national and international media outlets. Cole Smithey continues to review movies of all stripes. Cole plays in a weekly Jazz combo and gives walking tours of Carnegie Hill.
